Monitored Alarms Systems: BT Redcare
BT Redcare offers the same features as Digital Communicator but if a line fault occurs, a warning will be displayed in our control centre, which is then subject to keyholder response only unless preceded by an intruder activation. Your home will be monitored 24 hrs a day 365 days a year.

There are various types of Redcare listed below we will work hand in hand to help you chose the right product for you needs.

Monitored Alarms Systems

  • Redcare Classic
  • Redcare GSM
  • Redcare Assure
  • Redcare Fire
  • Redcare RS1000 (CCTV surveillance )
BT Redcare Classic

BT Redcare Classic continuously checks that the telephone line is there and will notify the alarm receiving centre within seconds if your telephone line is tampered with or a fault occurs. This centre can then summon the police, or authorised keyholder, as required.

How BT Redcare Classic work

BT Redcare Classic monitors property and premises every second of the day by actively checking that your phone line is working. If there are any interruptions a warning signal will be delivered to the alarm receiving centre. This means that your alarm signalling can never be compromised without the knowledge of the alarm receiving centre.

BT Redcare Classic doesn’t require a dedicated phone line and will work on your existing BT phone line. You therefore save the cost of installing and renting an additional line, as well as incurring any additional call charges.

BT Redcare Classic is ideal for all commercial risks or for high-value property owners.

BT Redcare GSM

BT Redcare GSM doubly protects because it uses two secure signalling paths to your alarm receiving centre. If either is tampered with by an intruder, or is faulty, the alarm receiving centre will be alerted and the relevant emergency services, or your authorised keyholder, will be called.

How BT Redcare GSM works

BT Redcare GSM uses the security of a BT phone line with the added protection of a GSM radio back-up path. If either is interfered with by an intruder, the other continues to monitor for any further alarms and transmits them as ‘confirmed activations’ – extra confirmation that an intruder is on the premises and that the alarm isn’t false. A ‘confirmed activation’ attracts immediate response from the emergency services.

BT Redcare GSM is ideal for all commercials risks and homes needing the highest level of security.

Redcare Assure

Redcare Assure is an alarm transmission system (ATS), encompassing the whole of the alarm transmission network from the customers’ premises to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), via a highly secure, robust and fully duplicated redcare managed network with host control rooms constructed and managed to BS5979.

BT Redcare Assure meets the challenging requirements of BRE/LPCB LP1277 Issue 2.2 standard for Fire and Security dual-path alarm signalling systems, integrated with video surveillance technology.

It combines the benefits of i) a Broadband primary path with a GPRS secondary path suitable for sequential alarm verification, with ii) video technology for remote visual monitoring and event based recording, all in an integrated single cost effective IP solution.

The entire network is fully managed and monitored, with redcare taking responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of alarm signals to the ARC.

BT Redcare Assure provides confidence to business users that their people, property and processes are under a watchful eye.

Key Benefits and Features
  • Protects people and businesses around the clock
  • Authorised users can view their premises at any time through secure remote access to recorded and real-time video images
  • Full alarm log reporting available online
  • Multi- channel video capability facilitates viewing of multiple locations
BT Redcare Fire

BT Redcare Fire monitors property and premises every second of the day by actively checking that your phone line is working. You can choose from our two products to monitor your fire alarm:

  • BT Redcare Classic – the phone line is checked continuously and, if there are any interruptions, a warning signal will be delivered to the alarm receiving centre. This means that your alarm signalling can never be compromised without the knowledge of the alarm receiving centre.

  • BT Redcare Fire doesn’t require a dedicated phone line and will work on your existing BT phone line. You therefore save the cost of installing and renting an additional line, as well as incurring any additional call charges.

Redcare RS1000 (CCTV surveillance )

Redcare’s point-to-point transmission services, rs1000, will connect the camera to the control room via a near broadcastquality, real-time transmission link.

Redcare RS1000 services can link up to 40kms (not radial) of public space with no depreciation in quality, connecting multiple sites with high-quality two-way video, voice, telemetry and data – all of which can be remotely, centrally or locally viewed.

Key Benefits

  • Crime prevention – stopping incidents, particularly violent ones, before it’s too late. Real-time CCTV surveillance can direct security personnel on the ground just in time, not when the damage is done.
  • Reduced man-guarding costs – with one control point able to manage a number of sites, it’s possible to make fewer guards more effective.

  • Successful prosecution – near broadcastquality video means that the incident and offender are clearly identifiable from the footage alone.

  • Effective fraud investigation – high-quality CCTV footage can be a powerful tool in unmasking sophisticated internal fraud, particularly when converged with other business systems such as access control or electronic point-of-sale data, enabling you to identify patterns of behaviour that simply don’t match up.

  • Your high-quality CCTV transmission network can also be used for voice-based help and information points, access control, fire and intruder alarm monitoring, points of presence for wireless devices and for the broadcast of marketing, promotional and/or training messages – at no extra transmission cost.
